Effective date: October 16, 2026. This policy explains how Boston Portfolio Advisers, LLC collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website.
Information you give us
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, contact details, and message. Your submission goes to our team by email so we can respond to your request.
Our chat collects the messages you type. If you choose to share them, it also collects your name, email address, phone number, address, and details about the work you need. The chat assistant answers questions using Anthropic's AI service. We and our marketing agency, AQ Marketing, keep the chat transcript and any details you provide. Your messages and details are sent to our team so we can follow up.
Information collected automatically
When you visit, we collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and time on the site. Our analytics tools measure visits, page views, how you find and use the website, and approximate location. We use these tools to understand website use and improve the site.
How information is used and shared
- Website hosting: Pressable hosts the website and processes standard request information, including IP addresses in server logs.
- Spam prevention and security: Akismet receives form submissions, IP addresses, and browser details to check for spam. hCaptcha receives IP addresses and browser details to check whether submissions come from a person. Cloudflare receives IP addresses and browser details to protect the website and its forms and help deliver pages.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4, Gauges, and Jetpack Stats measure website traffic and use.
- Advertising: Google Ads measures which ads lead to calls, form requests, or visits. It also lets Google show our ads to people who visited this site and collects activity across other websites.
- Embedded content and fonts: Google Maps, Elfsight, and Google Fonts receive browser requests to display maps, widgets, and typefaces. These requests include your IP address. Elfsight also receives browser details.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information for targeted advertising. Other parties may collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our website.
Cookies and your choices
Analytics and advertising tools stay off until you click "Accept all" on the cookie banner or scroll the page while the banner is showing. Scrolling while the banner is showing counts as accepting these tools. Use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page to switch analytics or advertising cookies off, or back on, at any time.
Some pages include content embedded from other services. Loading embedded content sends request information, such as your IP address and browser information, to its provider. The provider may use cookies or browser storage. Embedded content operates separately from the optional analytics and advertising controls. Google Maps may set its own cookies when a map loads.
Our cookie banner remembers your cookie choices. If you allow analytics, your browser may also send this site, at most once a day, a list of the names of cookies and similar storage it holds for this site, but never their contents. The list is not stored with anything that identifies you. It is used only to keep our Cookie Policy accurate.
Our website does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals. We honor Global Privacy Control signals. You can also use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to turn analytics or advertising cookies off or back on.
